Location: 148 West 90th Street, Manhattan, between Amsterdam and Columbus avenues. We’re close to Central Park, which we use for sports, school activities, picnics, and nature walks.
Hours: The Early Childhood Center is in session weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the Lower and Middle schools are in session weekdays from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m., and our administrative offices are open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Community: Represents all five boroughs of New York City as well as communities throughout New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, reflecting their racial, religious, cultural, and economic diversity
Faculty: Head teachers hold graduate degrees in special education and assistant teachers are enrolled in master’s degree programs. Staff includes language clinicians, reading remediation specialists, math remediation specialists, occupational therapists, and a psychologist. Specialists teach science, physical education, adaptive physical education, music, art, photography, computer skills, and library skills.
Facilities:
Afterschool Program: We offer afterschool sessions from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Students can enroll in one or both sessions. The program offers a variety of academic, athletic, and artistic activities and reinforces lessons learned during the day such as self-awareness and responsibility.
