A group of Green Cluster students brought Greek gods and goddesses to life last week through research and presentations.
This past semester, Head Teacher Nicole Goldman, Assistant Teacher Taylor Deedy, and Technology Teacher Joel Levin’s class studied Ancient Greece as part of their Social Studies unit.
To wrap up their lessons, the group worked on a culminating project that required each student to choose a Greek god or goddess to study.
Each student researched two different sources and created single paragraph outlines to compose their first five-paragraph essay. The students also created a Google slide presentation to summarize their research.
“Every student took their time to edit and revise their papers until they were ready to be showcased for their peers and teachers,” Ms. Goldman said.
After all of the projects were complete, the students presented their final products to their classmates. They practiced presenting to an audience while sharing information about their god or goddess from their research.
“The students were very professional during their presentations, and we were so impressed,” Ms. Goldman said. “We are very proud of our class for their hard work throughout this assignment. This multisensory research project exploited the various strengths of each of our students. We loved seeing how each student made the project their own.”
