The Book Fair is back, and better than ever! This year, Gaynor partnered with McNally Jackson Books, an independent bookstore with five locations in New York. The PAC was set up with tables and tables and rolling carts of books, as students swarmed in at 9:00 am sharp to see all that the fair had to offer. The Book Fair this year hosted an incredible selection, and there were many students walking out with piles of books in their arms. After they had made their purchases, students could head up to the PAC mezzanine to sit in the “Book Nook” and start reading their new books. The fair also featured Gaynor gear, and a new hit item— giant plush alligators! Additionally, Gaynor was visited by authors Sarah Maslin Nir, Shari Harpaz, and Karina Yan Glaser ahead of the Book Fair, during which they discussed the writing process and answered student questions. Each author’s books were featured at the fair. Thank you to our Parents’ Association Book Fair Committee led by Katy Williamson and Sam Regan and parent volunteers for all of their hard work!
The Communications Office also did some quick interviews with the students from the Red and Yellow Clusters to get their thoughts on the Book Fair. Listen below:
