Target Audience
Independent and public school elementary and middle school educators who are hoping to gain strategies to support students with or without learning differences.
Description
Sentences are the foundation of all writing. This workshop is tailored to empower educators with the knowledge and strategies necessary to enhance their students’ sentence and paragraph construction. Participants will gain practical tools and innovative approaches to foster their students’ growth as writers.
About the Presenter: Jackie Glazer
Jackie Glazer is a devoted special educator with 19 years of experience, including 13 years at Stephen Gaynor School. As the Writing Chair, Jackie is passionate about helping students become confident, skilled writers. Jackie earned her Master’s degree in Special and General Education with a focus on learning disabilities from Hunter College in New York City. Her approach combines research-backed methods with years of practical experience, ensuring that her instruction meets the individual needs of every learner. In addition to working directly with students, Jackie collaborates closely with teachers, offering support to design and deliver effective, targeted writing instruction.
