On Thursday, October 27, Gaynor’s Green cluster squad earned their first home victory of the season in a 6-5 nail-biter against Manhattan Country Day School. Gaynor jumped out to a 6-1 lead with some stellar first half play including goals from Davide D., Patrick M., TJ L., and Riley F. Though MCS came on strong at the end, with Gaynor giving up 4 straight goals in the final 10 minutes, Gaynor ultimately hung on for the win. Coach Prasarn reflected on the game, saying, “We did a great job following the gameplan in the first half which gave us the lead. But in the second half we began to stray and it almost cost us. I’m proud of how they persevered at the end, but we can definitely work on our conditioning and closing out games.”
