Gaynor Supports Universal Screening for Dyslexia in NY Public Schools

One in five students are dyslexic, and 50% of 4th-grade students are not reading on grade level. Only seven states nationwide evaluate all Kindergarten and first graders for dyslexia and many go undiagnosed; but Robert Carroll, assembly member of New York’s 44th A.D. hopes to change that. The Stephen Gaynor School supports his petition to implement universal screening in New York City Public Schools, and we ask that you take a moment to sign it. It takes less than one minute: www.robertcarroll.nyc/dyslexia.
